Physio + Kinesiology
- Exercise Therapy
- Yoga Therapy
- Pool Therapy
Physiotherapy and kinesiology complement each other seamlessly in the realm of healthcare. Physiotherapy focuses on the rehabilitation and treatment of physical ailments, while kinesiology delves into the science of human movement. When these two disciplines collaborate, the result is a holistic approach to health, addressing not only the symptoms but also the root causes of physical issues.
Yoga therapy is the application of yoga for therapeutic purposes. A type of therapy that uses yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation and guided imagery to improve health. It is also a holistic approach, integration of mind and body. Modern yoga therapy encompasses a broad range of therapeutic modalities, incorporating elements from both physical therapy and psychotherapy used to aid a wide range of physical and mental conditions.
Pool therapy or water therapy consists of therapeutic exercise done in a pool setting. Exercising in water assists in strengthening and conditioning, the water being means of resistance with less impact on the body. It is a low-impact option for exercise, which can also help to reduce the risk of reoccurring injury and chronic pain.
